over the weekend i made the
granola bars for stacey and ben (and me) from smitten kitchen. i made two variations. one was oats, cranberries, currents, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashew butter, honey, and vanilla. the second had all those plus pecans, chocolate chips and coconut. i like the second for the added sweetness plus the fact that i made it in a 9x9 pan instead of a 9x13. the smaller pan made the bars thicker and therefore sturdier. they both are pretty crumbly! i also made a few pizzas on saturday, one of which was her
shaved asparagus pizza. it was soo good. my peeler was terrible for the job, though because the little scooper is proud of the blade, allowing me only to shave 2/3 of the stalk at best. still tasty!
