stereotypical christmas

alright.  so we got some holly from the folks at the farm where we got our christmas tree and i thought it would be nice to put it on the mantle.  somehow, bit by bit, our fireplace has turned almost exactly into the image in Richard Scarry's Best Word Book Ever under "holidays" - completely unintentionally.  maybe next year i'll be a little more creative.

Ha! Maybe that image was stuck in your subconsious? You've gotten this far so you might as well go all the way - lose the fish, add a tall red candle on the left, a red bow on the wreath and voila!

who has the ginormous stocking??

that red framed box thing IS a candle! I know, the fish is really mucking up the place.

the huge stocking is my old one - not real old, but kind of old - but i think i could fill it for o this year. the stockings need to be rearranged too ;)
