washcloths
i just made these earlier today with inspiration taken from the little yellow towel you left behind here. i bought this blue terry cloth at that outdoor sale at fabric depot (that saturated my laundry with purple dye) a while ago. i just cut up some rectangles and added these little guys to them so oscar would love getting his hands and face wiped up. tree!

adorable! the dark blue is a good choice - it will hide all of those blueberry stains! I'm going to need some new hand + face wipe ups soon. ours are getting pretty ratty looking. i'll have to look for some terry cloth - or maybe i will just cut up some of our towels.
did you hand stitch or machine stitch the applique?
I machine stitched it. When I did the edging I was really wishing I had a surger. It would be cake.
